Lasman Painting Inc. was founded by Hardo Lass — but if you're wondering whether a business registered in 2024 has the experience to paint your home properly, the honest answer is that Hardo has been doing this kind of work since he was a teenager.
It started with a paintbrush and a summer job
Hardo earned his first pay with a paintbrush as a teenager, painting the interiors of the school he attended — summer work his father, who worked at the school, helped organise. Alongside the painting, he learned to sand and varnish hardwood floors with the big machines. From the very start, it was hands-on, do-it-properly work.
Raised on a job site
From his teens onward he worked construction, turning his hand to just about everything the trades threw at him — from brick façades to close to two years installing bitumen and PVC roofing. And over more than a decade, he helped build his family's home in Estonia from the ground up: a project that began when he was around five years old and wasn't finished until he was at university. Growing up quite literally on a job site teaches you something no course can — how a house actually goes together, and why the small details matter.
An engineer's eye for detail
Hardo later built a career as a software engineer — years of precise, systematic work where a small mistake has big consequences, and doing things carefully and to a high standard is simply how you operate. He brings that same mindset to every paint job: thorough preparation, clean execution, and clear communication from the first estimate onward.
That's the combination behind Lasman Painting — the hands-on craft of someone who's been building and finishing since childhood, paired with an engineer's discipline and eye for detail.
Owner-led, and built to grow
Today, Lasman Painting is owner-led: Hardo personally handles your estimate and oversees the work to one exacting standard. As the business grows, that commitment — to quality, and to being genuinely accountable for every job — is exactly what won't change.
Repaints, new builds & commercial
Repaints and refreshes are our bread and butter across Greater Moncton. But with a background building homes from the foundation up, we're just as comfortable on new construction, and we'd welcome the chance to partner with builders and new-home owners. We focus on residential work — and we also take on select commercial inquiries, so if you have a commercial space that needs painting, get in touch and let's talk.
Local, and fully insured. Lasman Painting is based right here on Gold Ave in Irishtown, serving Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and the surrounding area. We carry $2M liability insurance, are registered with WorkSafe NB, and back our work with a two-year written warranty — so you and your home are completely covered.
